Latin America. Hikvision received the Silver Medal from EcoVadis, an international corporate sustainability assessment platform. This distinction is awarded after analyzing more than 150,000 companies in more than 185 nations, in four fundamental areas: environment, human and labor rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
In 2024, Hikvision participated in this assessment for the first time and earned a place in the top 25% of rated companies, according to EcoVadis. The company has implemented various initiatives on a global scale in order to strengthen environmental, social and governance management.
These actions include the STAR Program for Social Good, which has been underway since 2020, through which Hikvision has collaborated with more than 30 non-governmental organizations on projects related to the protection of the environment, biodiversity, and local communities. In addition, internal policies have been established such as the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and the International Human Rights Policy.
In October 2024, the company obtained TÜV Rheinland's Green Product Mark certification for its range of LED displays. This certification recognises technical criteria such as the control of limited substances, the reduction of the carbon footprint and the recyclability of products.
In addition, it has developed technological tools aimed at strengthening these processes in the different stages of the life cycle of its products.
After receiving the EcoVadis rating, Huang Fanghong, Hikvision's Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, stated that the company will continue to work on initiatives aligned with the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, of which it has been a member since 2024.
