Jovicard modernizes its headquarters with HID access control technology

Brasileña Jovicard moderniza su sede con tecnología de control de acceso HID

Brazil. Jovicard, which specializes in physical access control, secure identity, biometrics and integrated electronic security, completed the modernization of its corporate headquarters with trusted identity technologies from HID.

Over two and a half decades of collaboration, Jovicard and HID have participated in the implementation of thousands of secure credentials and highly critical projects in different sectors of the Brazilian economy. Now, the integrator's own headquarters has become an environment for practical demonstration of the technologies that drive the evolution of the digital identity and access control market.

Thiago Lajut Gannoumy"The market is rapidly migrating to more seamless, mobile, and intelligent experiences. We wanted our own operation to reflect the vision of the future that we present to our customers on a daily basis," says Thiago Lajut Gannoumy, Jovicard's Commercial and Strategy Director.

The project was developed to modernize the company's access infrastructure, reduce vulnerabilities associated with legacy technologies, and create a more secure, integrated, and mobile-oriented experience. The implementation included HID Aero controllers with OSDP protocol, HID Sign readers, HID Amico facial biometrics, HID Seos Corporate 1000 credentials with HID Elite Key, and HID Mobile Access mobile credentials.

The new architecture combines mobile authentication, facial biometrics, and advanced cryptographic technologies to deliver a smoother and more secure access experience. With the adoption of digital credentials, Jovicard also advanced initiatives related to sustainability and reducing reliance on physical cards, aligning with global mobility trends and ESG criteria.

"Digital transformation in access control is no longer just a technological trend but a strategic necessity for organizations. Today, security, mobility and user experience must move forward together," Gannoumy emphasizes.

In addition to strengthening access security and traceability, the modernization generated improvements in operational efficiency and user experience. Employees began using their smartphones as secure credentials, while facial biometrics allowed for fast, convenient, and contactless authentication. According to the company, the project also strengthened its position as a benchmark in digital identity and technological transformation, while increasing customer interest in the solutions in HID's portfolio.

"HID has always been by our side at the most important moments in our technological evolution. This project demonstrates not only the quality of the solutions, but also the trust built over 25 years of collaboration. The credibility of this alliance has been critical in supporting our clients in their own digital transformation journeys," says Gannoumy.

In the coming years, Jovicard plans to expand the use of the HID platform into new applications, including visitor management, converged authentication, analytics, building automation, and broader integrations between physical and digital identities. More than a technological modernization, the project symbolizes the continuity of a partnership built on innovation, trust and vision of the future, demonstrating how manufacturers and integrators can work together to accelerate the evolution of corporate security in Brazil.
