In 2024, Autos del Sur S.A. opened a new branch in Puerto Madryn to expand its vehicle sales and after-sales services in the region. Characterized by their enormous extension, the facilities have different buildings and outdoor areas with a valuable stock and equipment.
The Puerto Madryn dealership combines multiple high-risk areas: showrooms with vehicles on display, service workshops, spare parts warehouses, administrative offices and outdoor areas, such as parking lots and vehicle parks. Each area has specific safety requirements, and any failure in coverage can lead to significant financial losses.
Dealer security needs also vary depending on the time of day. During business hours, the priority is the safety of the staff. Employees need a quick and reliable way to call for help if a dangerous situation arises. Outside business hours, the focus is on detecting and verifying intrusions remotely, so that the operators of the monitoring center can react immediately without wasting time with false alarms.
24/7 intrusion protection
Bayron proposed an Ajax-powered system because of its wireless flexibility, rapid deployment without the need for major infrastructure works, and professional-grade monitoring capabilities. More than 85 wireless devices were installed throughout the Puerto Madryn branch, all of them operating within a single unified system.
The core of the system is the Hub 2 Plus Jeweller, the control panel that manages all connected devices. Given the size of the facility, a ReX 2 Jeweller repeater was added to ensure that the signal reached all corners of the venue stably.
The outdoor area and parking lots are protected by two types of motion detectors. MotionProtect Outdoor Jeweller devices provide extensive coverage around the perimeter. MotionCam Outdoor Jeweller detectors add a visual layer at critical points. When activated, they sound an alarm and capture a series of photos, which they transmit to Bayron's CRA in a matter of seconds.
GlassProtect Jeweller detectors ensure protection indoors, triggering an alarm when it detects the sound of glass breaking, even before the window has been fully forced. MotionCam Jeweller devices provide photographic verification of alarms throughout the showroom, offices and service areas. When an alarm is triggered, StreetSiren Jeweller outdoor sirens activate instantly, deterring intruders and alerting the surrounding area.
For daytime safety, Button Jeweller panic buttons have been installed at staff stations throughout the venue. If a dangerous situation arises during working hours, any employee can silently activate an alarm, which is immediately transmitted to the Bayron CRA.
Dealer personnel control the system on-site using KeyPad TouchScreen Jeweller devices installed at the facility's main access points. For added flexibility, Ajax SpaceControl Jeweller controls allow each employee to arm and disarm the system from anywhere in the facility.
Bayron monitors all events in real time. Autos del Sur S.A. staff can change the security mode of the system remotely or on-site and receive instant alarm notifications via an Ajax app.
