Latin America. Axis Communications was involved in the Value Business Summit (VBS) 2025, carried out by Intcomex, presenting an ecosystem of solutions aimed at airport contexts. The infrastructures included artificial intelligence (AI) analysis, video studies, facial identification and heat maps.
The network solutions shown were created to cover different phases of airport traffic, from arrival at the parking lot or runway, to take-off. These tools aim to meet particular monitoring, operational, and administrative needs.
Denith Garcia, Director of Inside Sales for Latin America at Axis Communications, said: "Our presence at this event was very evident: to demonstrate how Axis technology can turn the complexity of an airport environment into an efficient, safe and lucrative experience for travelers, airlines, merchants and investors."
One of the suggested methods was perimeter defense, using thermal and visual cameras, radars, PTZ cameras, and network speakers. This system makes it possible to identify intrusions and distinguish between true threats and false alarms. Instant warnings and reassurance messages make it easy to take action in the event of incidents.
Applications to monitor weather, runways and baggage flow were also shown, with the purpose of reducing losses and delays. "All this is part of a strategy aimed at increasing passenger confidence and optimizing the airport's profitability through a more connected, automated and resilient infrastructure in the face of daily challenges," added García.
