Argentina. Prosegur Security, Prosegur's division specialising in physical and electronic security solutions, has inaugurated the Intelligent Security Operations Centre (iSOC) in Buenos Aires. This center is operational and aims to offer advanced security services to the markets in which the company operates.
With an investment of more than 2.5 million dollars, the iSOC has capacity for 200 monitoring stations and is equipped with a network of interconnected devices that provide information in real time. The center uses intelligent data processing technologies and a specialized team to manage security operations more efficiently, anticipating risks and threats.
The iSOC has been created using Prosegur's own platform, which facilitates advanced data management and the administration of security services. This platform also has the ability to merge with users' existing technological systems. The center offers several services, such as alert management, image monitoring, remote access control, and compliance verification.
Eduardo Miyares, general director of Prosegur Security in Argentina, mentioned that "the iSOC is the first place in Argentina that integrates innovative technologies, intelligent data processing and advanced security services." He added that the center responds to a hybrid security model and allows it to offer solutions adapted to the needs of each customer and sector, improving operational efficiency.
From this centre, Prosegur Security monitors more than 5,000 installations and supports more than 600 customers in sectors such as banking, retail, logistics, industry, mining and oil. Miyares also stressed that the center allows 10,000 virtual rounds to be carried out per month, manage 15,000 connected cameras and manage more than 350,000 alarms and GPS signals. In addition, it oversees more than 3,000 business processes.
Pablo Rodrigo, operations manager of Prosegur Security in Argentina, stressed that the company focuses on developing solutions that respond to the needs of different sectors. He stated that the engineering team develops customized solutions for each client, in order to optimize the efficiency of their procedures.
The iSOC also provides infrastructure for customers to establish their own operations centers, providing specialized support and continuity of operations. According to María Eugenia Álvarez, head of the iSOC in Argentina, "we have the infrastructure to incorporate new customers who require operational homogenization, continuity guarantees, specialized response, or to have an information and data network that helps them make the best decisions."
The iSOC in Buenos Aires is part of Prosegur's global network, which includes 14 interconnected centers in countries such as Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Portugal, the United States, Spain, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru and Singapore. This network manages more than 1.5 million alarm events each year and allows Prosegur to collaborate across different geographies.
The center also offers standardization and centralization of security controls, allowing processes to be replicated in different locations. In sectors such as Oil & Gas, irregularities in safety and hygiene can be detected using cameras and artificial intelligence systems. In the retail sector, algorithms help identify theft, scams and customer behaviour, while in the banking sector, Artificial Intelligence is used to identify weapons and alert sounds. In the area of logistics, the center monitors potential dangers and dangerous behaviors of drivers.
