Mexico City. The Superior Audit Office of the Federation (ASF) implemented an ambitious technological renovation project in its five headquarters located in Mexico City, with the aim of strengthening its standards of safety, operational efficiency and response capacity.
The initiative, developed in 2025 in conjunction with the integrator Contrasys and with technology from Bolide Technology Group, contemplated the comprehensive modernization of the video surveillance system through the incorporation of artificial intelligence and the centralization of monitoring.
As a specialized technical body of the Chamber of Deputies, the ASF is in charge of the oversight of federal public spending, so it requires an infrastructure that guarantees high levels of control and reliability. In this context, the project integrated about a thousand high-definition cameras distributed in its five buildings, consolidating its operation in a unified command center located in the Ajusco building.
The new system incorporates advanced video analytics capabilities, such as facial recognition and automated license plate (LPR) reading, enabling more efficient access management and faster incident response. It also includes 180° and 360° panoramic cameras, as well as thermal devices designed for the early detection of fires, especially relevant due to the location of the central building in a forest risk area.
From an obsolete system to an intelligent infrastructure
Prior to this upgrade, the ASF faced several challenges, including the obsolescence of its security system, the lack of technical support, and the fragmented operation of nearly a thousand cameras in five independent complexes. This situation limited the scalability of the system and made it difficult to integrate with emerging technologies.
The implemented solution included Bolide's video management platform (VMS), which enables centralized management, intelligent searches, and the operation of a video wall with LED technology, facilitating real-time monitoring from a single point.
Results: Increased efficiency and responsiveness
According to those involved in the project, technological modernization has generated significant benefits for the ASF. These include an 80% reduction in response times and forensic search processes, thanks to the use of artificial intelligence and advanced analysis tools.
In addition, the system has increased the accuracy of surveillance tasks, optimizing the performance of monitoring personnel and strengthening risk prevention. The infrastructure, which is modular and scalable, will allow the institution to incorporate new technologies in the future as its operational needs evolve.
The alliance between Bolide, Contrasys and the ASF also guarantees local technical support, which contributes to operational continuity and more efficient attention in the event of any eventuality.
With this implementation, the Superior Audit Office of the Federation takes an important step towards the digitization of its security processes, consolidating a comprehensive surveillance model based on data, artificial intelligence and real-time decision-making.
