Financial performance reflects a sustained growth trend, also driven by strategic acquisitions. In the last five years, the company has more than doubled its revenue. In particular, the North and South America region recorded an increase of 11%, reaching $185 million.
In operating terms, the company reported revenues of USD 16 million, slightly below the USD 16.5 million recorded in 2024. For its part, investment in Research and Development (R+D) amounted to USD 102 million, equivalent to 28.8% of net income, compared to 24.8% the previous year.
"2025 was a strong year for Milestone," said Lars Larsen, Chief Financial Officer. "We saw continued revenue growth and formally integrated BriefCam video analytics and Arcules, our cloud video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) solution, into Milestone. We also acquired anonymization technology provider brighter AI and launched Project Hafnia to develop future AI solutions. These achievements allow us to continuously innovate and invest in next-generation software."
During the year, the company made progress in the integration of AI-based solutions into its portfolio, including advanced analytics and cloud services, in a context where intelligent video is gaining relevance in sectors such as security, smart cities, retail and critical infrastructure.
CEO Jeppe Frandsen stressed that this period marked a point of transformation for the company, which in 2025 celebrated 27 years of operation.
"For nearly three decades, our open platform has been the heart of Milestone and continues to be so. In addition to XProtect video management software, we now have an expanded portfolio to offer our partners and the world," said Jeppe Frandsen.
"Our focus at Milestone is to build solutions that help customers get the most out of video. We will continue to accelerate our work in video management, analytics and cloud solutions so that customers can gain easier and deeper insights from their video data," added Jeppe Frandsen.
One of the milestones of the year was the launch of Project Hafnia, an initiative developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, aimed at solving the shortage of high-quality video data for training artificial intelligence models. The project already has pilot programs in cities such as Genoa, Italy, and Dubuque, Iowa.
As part of this alliance, Milestone also introduced a vision-language model (VLM) and video summarization tool integrated into its XProtect platform, capable of converting audiovisual content into text using artificial intelligence, facilitating decision-making in sectors such as emergencies and traffic management.
Looking ahead to 2026, the company plans to continue strengthening its focus on cloud-based solutions, advanced analytics and responsible artificial intelligence.
"Looking ahead, we will continue to innovate in 2026, both in our products and in the way we create value for our customers and partners," said CEO Jeppe Frandsen.
