Latin America. VIVOTEK presented a series of technologies aimed at enhancing video surveillance skills in various sectors, placing particular emphasis on the security challenges presented in Latin America.
The proposal includes advanced night vision assisted by artificial intelligence, natural language search tools and video surveillance in the cloud through its VORTEX platform.
The company highlighted that these solutions are designed to adapt to the needs of governments, small and medium-sized enterprises, corporations and communities. Its goal is to offer accessible, scalable and easy-to-implement tools that help safeguard public spaces and corporate assets.
One of the aforementioned advances was the inclusion of visual language models (VLMs), a technology that facilitates video searches based on natural language descriptions. "It is possible to search for specific events with descriptions such as 'person with red backpack entering the warehouse,'" the company explained. This tool also allows advanced searches by facial features or vehicle characteristics such as color, make or model.
The search system is supported by the RealSight engine, developed by VIVOTEK, which uses artificial intelligence algorithms to detect changes in the environment and automatically adjust recording parameters. According to the company, this increases the quality of the images, even under reduced lighting conditions, and helps to achieve more accurate search results.
In relation to its night vision abilities, VIVOTEK indicated that its cameras manage to preserve high definition without alterations caused by excessive exposure to infrared light, which facilitates the identification of essential elements such as faces or vehicle license plates in environments with poor lighting. "This establishes an essential distinction in contexts such as streets, shops or shops," the company said.
On the storage side, VIVOTEK introduced a hybrid cloud architecture that combines on-premises storage with cloud options for more flexible management. This solution targets organizations with multiple locations or centralized management requirements.
In addition, the VORTEX platform allows video surveillance to be moved completely to the cloud, eliminating the need for physical infrastructure at each site. The company believes that this alternative can be useful for geographically distributed businesses or institutions looking for economical and scalable solutions.
"Attendees at ISC West 2025 will be able to learn first-hand about these tools, but they can also contact local VIVOTEK representatives to find out how to implement them in their environments," the company concluded.
