Latin America. Motorola Solutions has signed a definitive agreement to acquire InVisit, a company specializing in cloud-based visitor management solutions, headquartered in Calabasas, California. This integration will strengthen Avigilon Alta, Motorola Solutions' enterprise cloud security platform, enabling it to more effectively address the security challenges faced by organizations globally.
InVisit's solution is used by sectors such as corporate offices, multi-tenant buildings, educational institutions and healthcare facilities. It is designed to meet the complex operational and regulatory requirements of organizations with multiple locations.
"Visitor management presents construction teams with countless operational and safety challenges," said Mahesh Saptharishi, executive vice president and chief technology officer, Motorola Solutions. "With this acquisition, we continue to improve the guest experience while delivering the clarity businesses need to help keep people safe, places protected and operations running efficiently. And all this with the flexibility, scalability and accessibility that a unified, cloud-based suite can provide to organizations from anywhere, at any time."
InVisit's technology allows organizations to identify visitors, determine whether they should be granted access based on various criteria, such as risk assessments, and manage the presence of people inside the building during emergency situations. This solution also streamlines processes such as visitor registration, access, and host notification, as well as providing real-time data on login activity. In turn, it incorporates security tools such as blocklist detection, in order to prevent unauthorized access.
"Joining Motorola Solutions is an incredibly exciting step for us," said Steven Kim, CEO and CTO of InVisit. "This is a tremendous opportunity to expand the full potential of our technology, working with an innovator and global leader committed to end-to-end enterprise security."
Upon completion of the acquisition, Motorola Solutions will integrate InVisit's solution within Avigilon Alta, along with other components such as video surveillance, access control, intercom systems, 24/7 remote monitoring, package management and wireless locks. The tool is now available through the Avigilon Alta App Marketplace, allowing users to easily add it to their security systems, with management from mobile devices.
Motorola Solutions showcased its enterprise technologies at ISC West 2025, March 31-April 4 in Las Vegas. It is estimated that the closing of the transaction will be completed in the second quarter of the year, once the established conditions have been met. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
