Expo Seguridad México 2026 will bring together more than 18,000 professionals and strengthen the professionalization of the sector

Mexico. The 23rd edition of Expo Seguridad México will be held from June 2 to 4, 2026 at the Banamex Center in Mexico City, consolidating once again as one of the main meetings of the security industry in Latin America.

The event will bring together more than 18,000 professionals and nearly 400 national and international exhibiting companies, who will present solutions aimed at protecting people, critical infrastructure and strategic assets. The exhibition will feature more than 24,000 square meters of exhibit space, including new specialized areas designed to address the emerging challenges of the sector.

The exhibition will integrate video surveillance, access control, perimeter protection, cybersecurity, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, drones and tactical vehicle technologies, allowing attendees to evaluate solutions in real operational scenarios.

In addition, Expo Seguridad México will be held jointly with Expo Seguridad Industrial and Infosecurity Mexico, creating an ecosystem that encompasses physical, industrial and digital security.

"This synergy consolidates a strategic platform of technology, specialized knowledge and decision-making in security matters for the region. Today threats do not exist in isolation; both physical, industrial and digital security converge, so they must be addressed from a comprehensive vision," explained Laura Barrera, Portfolio Director of RX Mexico.

Training and new trends

One of the main axes of the meeting will be training, promoted by the third edition of the SIA Education Program, developed by the Security Industry Association (SIA), considered one of the industry's leading organizations at a global level.

The program will address issues related to risk management, corporate security, regulatory compliance, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, with the aim of strengthening the professionalization of the industry in Mexico and Latin America.

Among the outstanding activities is the keynote lecture The Governance Imperative: How Security Leaders Must Evolve in an AI-Transformed World, which will be given by Brian Allen, Executive Director of AI RegRisk Think Tank, focused on the evolution of the security function in environments increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence.

Likewise, attendees will be able to participate in free access formats such as Coffee & Learn and in various experience areas where technologies operating in real time will be exhibited.

World Cup 2026 and new challenges for security

As part of the official presentation of the event, the panel "From stadiums to companies" was held, a space dedicated to analyzing how the realization of massive events such as the 2026 World Cup tests the response capacity of companies and authorities in the face of increasingly complex risks.

During the panel, Manuel Zamudio, a member of the event's Advisory Council, pointed out that the World Cup represents an opportunity to evaluate the country's security preparedness.

"There are no profiles out of risk: from fans and companies to citizens, we are all susceptible to becoming victims of a bad decision in the face of the changes that this event triggers in infrastructure, mobility, services, consumption and tourism," he said.

The specialist added that the World Cup does not generate new risks, but rather exposes existing vulnerabilities.

"The World Cup is a stress test for Mexico: it exposes vulnerabilities in real time and redefines the rules of the game. Today the conversation is no longer about investing in security, but about how to integrate physical, digital and operational security into a single system. The real risk is not the event, but the inability to coordinate the operating environment that makes it possible," Zamudio stressed.

For her part, Eurídice Ibarlucea, NFPA's International Business Development Manager for Mexico, highlighted the need for comprehensive planning.

"In this context, security ceases to be reactive and is positioned as an axis of strategic planning that involves authorities, companies and the public itself, whose decision-making directly influences risk prevention and incident management," he said.

From a digital perspective, Francisco Villegas, a member of Shieldforce's Incident Response Team, warned about the increase in cyber threats during large-scale events.

"The search for tickets, broadcasts or exclusive access opens the door to increasingly sophisticated fraud, from phishing to content manipulated with artificial intelligence. This combination of high demand and emotional vulnerability makes fans and companies key targets, forcing us to reinforce not only technological protection, but also awareness of risks that can compromise even corporate networks," he added.

A growing sector

According to data shared during the launch of the event, the private security industry currently represents about 1.8% of Mexico's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and generates approximately 900 thousand direct jobs.

At the regional level, the Latin American security market reached revenues close to USD 6,950 million in 2024 and is expected to register a compound annual growth rate of 8.5% between 2025 and 2030, according to figures from Grand View Research.

For Laura Barrera, security has become a key factor for business competitiveness.

"Today security is no longer an expense, it has become a strategic enabler for the country's competitiveness. In an environment marked by digital transformation, business relocation and infrastructure protection, investing in security solutions means strengthening trust, ensuring operational continuity and attracting investment. Organizations that understand security as part of their business strategy not only mitigate risks, they also generate sustainable competitive advantages," said Barrera.

As part of its social initiatives, Expo Seguridad México presented a jaguar as the official mascot of the 2026 edition. The resources generated by this initiative will be allocated to Reinserta, an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and reintegration of people deprived of liberty, as well as to the prevention of violence.

With more than two decades of experience, Expo Seguridad México seeks to continue consolidating itself as a space for the generation of alliances, technological updating and analysis of the main regulatory, operational and technological challenges facing the security industry in the region.
