Latin America. Dahua Technology unveiled its portfolio of smart city solutions, focused on improving urban safety, traffic management, sustainable mobility, municipal governance and environmental protection, through the use of artificial intelligence (AI), big data and AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) technologies.
Urban security with intelligent operation centers
Among the main innovations highlighted is the Urban Safety Solution, a proposal that integrates a City Operations Center capable of monitoring and analyzing in real time the state of urban operation, including public safety, traffic and environmental variables. The platform enables the connection of multiple devices and systems – such as cameras, radars, traffic light control, weather systems and alarms – in a unified environment.
Dahua also presented solutions for smart police vehicles and body cameras, designed to improve the efficiency of patrols and detect anomalous situations immediately. The operations center is supported by six capacity cores: business enablement, intelligent operations, total connectivity, big data, intelligent computing and urban command.
Traffic management and sustainable mobility
In terms of mobility, the company exhibited its Urban Traffic Management Solution, aimed at traffic light control, inspection and operation on highways. The system dynamically adjusts traffic light schemes according to real-time traffic flow, with the aim of reducing urban congestion.
For road control, Dahua introduced mobile and fixed solutions that allow monitoring multiple lanes without the need for additional complex infrastructure. On highways, the system is capable of detecting more than 30 types of incidents, such as stopped vehicles, oncoming traffic or speeding.
In parallel, the Transportation Solution promotes green mobility through fuel consumption monitoring tools, on-board cameras, cargo security systems and passenger counting. Highlights include solutions for public transport, with active safety features and cameras with the BSIS system, designed to eliminate dead spots and comply with European road safety regulations.
Urban governance and smart response
To strengthen municipal management, Dahua developed a multimodal urban monitoring framework, which integrates modules of urban management, emergency response, environmental monitoring, and safety supervision. These platforms connect people and systems using text, voice, and images, incorporating advanced features such as image-to-text search, intelligent interaction based on language models, and linked operations in a single environment.
Environmental protection and natural resources
In the environmental field, Dahua presented its Natural Resource Protection Solution, focused on forest protection, water management, territorial supervision and biodiversity. Of particular note is the forest fire prevention system, which combines sensors, intelligent analysis, thermal imaging and the use of drones for early detection, rapid response and decision support.
Advanced AI Ecosystem and Models
The company also highlighted its collaboration strategy through the Dahua ECO Partner Program (DEPP) and the DoLynk Developer platform, aimed at promoting joint innovation with technology partners globally through APIs and SDKs.
One of the main announcements was the introduction of Xinghan large-scale AI models, a family of specialized models – visual, multimodal and language – that make it possible to move from reactive surveillance systems to proactive urban intelligence networks, improving security, energy efficiency, mobility and citizen services.
During the event, Dahua executives participated in panels on GovTech and digital transformation. "When cities go digital, the goal should be to provide better services to people," said John Li, head of government at Dahua Technology, who stressed that the success of these solutions is measured by their impact on citizens' quality of life.
With these proposals, Dahua seeks to respond to challenges such as road congestion, environmental degradation and public safety, reaffirming its commitment to the development of smart, safe and sustainable cities on a global scale.
