Argentina. The Government of Rafaela took a decisive step in its transformation towards a smart and safe city by awarding the implementation of the ULTRA CitySafe system, a comprehensive citizen prevention solution developed by SoftGuard.
The public tender was awarded to Laser House, a leading company in technologies applied to urban security, which acts as SoftGuard's integrating channel in this project.
The tool will be implemented within the "Neighbors on Alert" program, with the aim of strengthening prevention in the neighborhoods through the articulation between the community, the security forces and the municipal response system.
With SoftGuard PSIM+, Rafaela will have a comprehensive monitoring, command and control platform that centralizes all security events and alerts in a single point: from emergency applications installed on neighbors' phones to alarms in schools, hospitals and community systems connected to the monitoring center. These alarms allow citizens to activate immediate alerts in the event of risk situations, facilitating a more agile and coordinated response from local authorities.
The system will also integrate GPS tracking of municipal vehicles, police mobiles and urban guard teams, which will make it possible to dispatch the nearest resource in the event of each incident, reduce response times and optimise the distribution of personnel according to the real demand of the territory.
The CitySafe ecosystem incorporates tools with a high social impact, such as Código Violeta, which allows women to report situations of gender violence quickly and safely, and citizen applications that facilitate procedures, incident reports and strengthen the link between the government and the community. All this is integrated into the same platform that "offers comprehensive prevention, agile response and unified security management," according to the company.
This model is already operational in municipalities such as Tandil (Buenos Aires), Banda Río Salí (Tucumán) and Envigado (Colombia), and is part of a network of more than 300 local governments in 18 countries, according to data from municipioseguro.net.
During the implementation process, SoftGuard representatives accompanied Laser House on a technical visit to the Municipality of Rafaela to present the scope of the system and plan its implementation.
