Colombia. The Colombian Association of Data Centers and Data Technology (ACOLDC) began operations in the country with the support of Vertiv as a Main Partner. The launch took place on August 21 in Bogotá.
ACOLDC is the first organization in Colombia dedicated to unifying and strengthening the data center industry. The association presented an agenda focused on the development of the industry and the articulation of actors from the public and private sectors.
Robson Pacheco, interim director of strategic accounts for Vertiv LATAM, said: "Part of our business strategy is to continue consolidating our operations in Colombia. We recently opened our integrated business services center in Bogota to strengthen our operations in Latin America. Now, with the Colombian Association of Data Centers, we will contribute with information aimed at developing our mission-critical industry, which is so essential for the economic and technological development of our region."
Edwin Tello, President of ACOLDC, said: "Vertiv drives ACOLDC's growth with its expertise in critical infrastructure. It is a key pillar in strengthening the data center industry in Colombia."
As a Main Partner, Vertiv will participate in knowledge management initiatives and develop training programs starting in September 2025.
