Colombia. The enclosure of the boarding yard and a digital information system seek to improve order and security. The San José de Cúcuta Transport Terminal is advancing a modernization plan that includes changes in passenger access and the implementation of new technologies before the end of the year.
Carlos Andrade, manager of the entity, explained that the project contemplates the total closure of the boarding yard, so that only people with their respective ticket enter, as is already the case in other terminals in the country. This measure responds to the guidelines required by the Superintendence of Transportation.
"We are talking about a radical change. Between now and December 1, we are going to implement internal enclosure and the use of technology for access control. This had never been done in Cúcuta and it is an important step to achieve a truly organized terminal," said Andrade.
The manager also pointed out that a video and sound system will be installed to offer official information on ticket prices and authorized points of sale. This seeks to combat informality and improve attention to travelers.
According to Andrade, with these measures the Cúcuta Transport Terminal will move towards a model of order and transparency. "We are going to comply with the requirements of the law and with what the city needs to provide a safe and transparent service," he concluded.
