Mexico. The organizers of the international event announced that one of the novelties of the 21st edition will be the holding of a breakfast organized by Women in Security Forum (WISF).
The call seeks to promote greater female participation in leadership positions, in addition to the visualization and awareness of the role of women in the industry.
According to Laura Barrera, director of Expo Seguridad México and Expo Seguridad Industrial, the WISF event is an initiative of the Security Industry Associations (SIA) to promote the professional development, networking and updating of women who work in the public security and security sectors. private.
“The Women in Security Forum is made up of men and women interested in involving security experts committed to the promotion, recruitment, and leadership of women in this industry, in order to stimulate inclusion and diversification,” explained Barrera.
The WISF breakfast will take place on April 17, starting at 8:30 am, at the Citibanamex Center facilities, headquarters of Expo Seguridad México.
National Shelter Network
On the other hand, the organizing committee announced the participation of the National Shelter Network, a non-profit feminist organization, with more than two decades of experience working in areas such as human rights, substantive equality, gender perspective, democracy, horizontality, inclusion , unity, transparency and accountability.
The National Shelter Network is made up of 76 care, prevention and protection spaces distributed in five Mexican regions.
“We are pleased by the presence of this institution, which has established itself as an organization that protects women and that, in addition, provides impartial care to foreigners, indigenous people, and migrants, protecting victims of extreme violence,” added the Director of Mexico Security Expo.
