Latin America. Vertiv announced changes to its management team as part of a previously planned transition. Stephen Liang, current Chief Technology Officer (CTO), will retire on January 1, 2026 after more than thirty years of experience with the organization and its predecessor, Emerson.
During his tenure, Liang led Vertiv's technology strategy and innovation initiatives, contributing to the company's evolution in the digital infrastructure sector.
Gio Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv, highlighted Liang's role in developing the company's technology and innovation strategy, noting that his leadership has influenced Vertiv's position within the industry.
Effective January 1, 2026, Scott Armul will assume an expanded role as Chief Product and Technology Officer. Armul, who was promoted to executive vice president of global portfolio and business units on January 1, 2025, will oversee the Office of Technology, as well as the areas of research, engineering development and business units of Vertiv's solutions portfolio.
The company indicated that this realignment seeks to strengthen the connection between technological development and business strategy, with the aim of responding more effectively to the needs of the market and its customers.
Armul, who joined Vertiv in 2009, has held a variety of technical and leadership roles, with expertise in engineering, product and customer service. His appointment is part of the company's strategy to strengthen internal leadership and consolidate a culture oriented towards growth and innovation.
