Hikvision Presents 2024 ESG Report and Introduces THRIVE Sustainability Philosophy

Latin America. Hikvision released its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, in which it presents its main practices and commitments in sustainability. This report marks the introduction of its new THRIVE philosophy, framed under the principle of "Tech for Good".

The company establishes five focus areas to guide its actions: Harmony, Reliability, Integrity, Value Chain and Environment. According to the organization, this model seeks to "build a solid foundation for a safe, resilient and inclusive future."

Technology for Urban Governance

In the report, Hikvision reports that its technologies have been applied at more than 1,000 intersections and hundreds of cities to improve mobility and road safety through intelligent traffic management systems. "From Hikvision, they use artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technologies to transform urban governance," the document states.

Environmental applications

The company indicates that it has deployed environmental monitoring systems based on AIoT (artificial intelligence + internet of things) in order to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and the prevention of disasters. "As of 2024, thermal cameras have contributed to forest protection in 264 cities," according to the report.

Digital transformation in industry

Hikvision also highlights its role in the digitalization of industrial processes through AIoT solutions, aimed at improving the operational control and environmental performance of companies.

Impact on the health and education sector

At the community level, the report mentions that "in 2024, the implemented technology enabled Zhejiang People's Provincial Hospital to significantly improve medical care through advanced digital wound management." The company also reports initiatives with educational centers, although without detailing figures in this section.

Conservation of cultural heritage

As part of its technology for culture axis, Hikvision notes that it has collaborated with institutions to protect historical assets. "In 2024, it implemented fire prevention solutions on the Lanxi Bridge, China's architectural jewel," with the aim of reinforcing its conservation.

Hikvision publishes its ESG report for the seventh consecutive year, as part of its commitment to the disclosure of business practices aligned with environmental, social and governance criteria.
