On March 27th, the magazine Ventas de Seguridad had the honor of being invited by ISS to the event "Digital Transformation and Security," organized by Axis Communications, ISS, ASIS International Chapter 239 Mexico North, and the American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico. The event took place at the iconic BBVA Stadium in Monterrey.
This event, aimed at end-users, highlighted the importance of coordination between public security, private security, cybersecurity, and technological solutions in the context of the Digital Transformation currently underway in the security industry, particularly in light of the challenges leading up to the 2026 World Cup.

The event began with a packed agenda full of meaningful content, featuring panels that brought together specialists from both the public and private sectors to discuss crucial issues for security at large-scale events.
Jorge Ron Cárdenas, General Director of the C5 from the Secretariat of Security of the State of Nuevo León, addressed technological innovations in the field of public security.
Cecilia Ortiz Rivera, from Parque Fundidora, highlighted the importance of incorporating smart technologies in public spaces.
Jorge Ortega Zamarripa, Chief Inspector of C4i from the Municipality of Monterrey, emphasized the need to enhance inter-institutional cooperation between various security agencies to maximize resources and optimize responses to critical situations during large-scale events like the World Cup.
Also participating in the Government panel was Julio César García Puga, Director of C4 from the Municipality of Santa Catarina, N.L., who shared trends in technology that have already been implemented in their municipality.
One of the most notable aspects of the event was the panel titled "Towards the 2026 World Cup," in which Julio Valdés, Director of Public Relations and the Volunteer Program for the Host City by FIFA World Cup 2026, emphasized how digitalization is transforming the way security events are managed, both physically and digitally.
In the private sector panel, Rhett Nieto, Technology and Cybersecurity Manager at Armur, Femsa, discussed the importance of cybersecurity to protect not only physical infrastructures. He also emphasized the need for the private sector, alongside authorities, to develop technological solutions that respond to emerging threats and ensure a safe and efficient environment for the millions of people participating in the 2026 World Cup.
The event also featured Mario Alberto Franco Pérez, Director of Security at Schneider Electric, who spoke on the perspective of incorporating intelligent systems.
Lorenzo Barrera, Executive President of Banco Base; Grace Lingow, General Director of the American Chamber, Northeast Chapter; and Julio Burnes, Director of IT Architecture and Business Solutions at Laureate Mexico, participated in this private sector panel.
