Genetec highlighted that according to the latest report of the research organization Omdia, it continued to increase its global market share, outpacing the market growth in the categories of VMS and Windows-based recorders.
The report also revealed that this brand maintained its position as a global market share leader, recording the highest growth among the top five software manufacturers in the world.
Genetec increased its leadership as the leading VMS provider in the Americas, with a 21.6% market share (compared to 19.6% the previous year). According to its Video Surveillance & Analytics Market Share Database – 2021 report, Omdia recognized Genetec as a global leader (excluding China) in VMS with a market share of 17.4%, up from 16.0% last year. The company attributes its continued growth to the strength of its unified security platform, Security Center, recurring revenue from its enterprise cloud solutions, as well as a determined focus on cybersecurity and privacy.

In the category of Windows-based recorders, Genetec demonstrated the highest market growth globally.
