International. Altronix unveiled the new dual-voltage access power controller, LINQ8ACM, with LINQ network power management. This new solution facilitates a wide range of locking devices while providing network monitoring, reporting and control of eight independently controlled fuse or PTC protected access control outputs.
For instant on-site verification, the LINQ8ACM is equipped with two-color LEDs indicating 12 or 24 V DC on each of the 8 outputs.
"With this new addition, Altronix can monitor all outputs fed into an access control system on both outputs relayed with LINQ8ACM and outputs distributed with LINQ8PD. Voltage and power diagnostics for each lock, panel and peripheral closes the entire system monitoring cycle," said Ronnie Pennington, Director of Sales for the Americas for Altronix Corporation.
The LINQ8ACM distributes power to a variety of access control devices, including magnetic locks and electric locks, while providing critical diagnostics and management capabilities through its onboard network communications. Additional features include: emergency input activation that allows for exit and alarm monitoring; a disconnect function that can be individually selected for any or all of the eight outputs; shovel connectors for daisy-chaining multiple modules for larger system applications; and protection by PTC or automotive-style fuses. The eight activation inputs isolate power from the access controllers and provide greater system protection.
