International. Fujitsu and Veeam are focused on simplifying backup and recovery for customers running mission-critical virtual machines in the data center. This new partnership delivers greater data availability and faster recovery from disasters and unplanned system downtime.
The combination of Fujitsu Eternus, a broad storage infrastructure option, and Veeam Availability Suite, a cloud data management solution, will help hundreds of thousands of companies keep their businesses running.
With most companies moving toward fully virtualized computing environments, the need to secure these environments has put an additional focus on backing up and quickly recovering their virtual machines. Fujitsu and Veeam have teamed up to greatly simplify and automate the process of backing up and restoring virtual machines in live production environments, both on-premises and in the Cloud.
With the availability of Veeam storage snapshot plug-in for Fujitsu Eternus AF all-flash and Eternus DX hybrid storage, customers can create replicas and full VM backups from snapshots as often as they want, with little impact on their production environment. This advanced data protection capability bridges the gap between storage, critical recovery point (RPO) and recovery time (RTO) objectives¹. This ensures high data availability at all times and business continuity in the event of a disaster.
The collaboration is the next step for Fujitsu and Veeam to work together: vendors previously teamed up to integrate Veeam Data Mover software, into the data protection appliance, Fujitsu Eternus CS800 S7 to increase backup and recovery performance, and into the Eternus LT140 and LT260 tape systems to deliver seamless tape archiving for virtual machine data and to be delivered requires long-term data retention and compliance.
By adding Veeam storage sanpshot plug-in for Fujitsu Eternus DX and AF, customers can ensure that data is always available, protected, and actively working for businesses from production to archive.
