Vivotek launched new series of fisheye cameras

International. Building on its "See More in Smarter Ways" campaign, Vivotek recently introduced two new H.265 Deep Learning fisheye cameras, the FE9191 and fe9391-EV. These two professional 12-megapixel day and night fisheye cameras provide immersive 360-degree views with zero blind spots and come armed with vivotek's developed deep learning technology, Smart 360 VAC.

This technology includes intrusion detection, crowd detection, and loitering detection. Such capability transforms these surveillance cameras from capture devices to advanced notification instruments and, in the process, significantly reduces false alarms.

The cameras' intrusion detection feature is designed to protect any specific area from unauthorized entry. The crowd detection feature can detect and calculate how many people occupy a given space and triggers alarms when capacity is reached in that area. Finally, the loitering detection feature can detect a person or people staying too long in any selected area.

Both cameras are integrated with Trend Micro's anti-intrusion software to provide users with higher levels of network protection. Working together, these advanced features ensure that the new fisheye cameras are highly intelligent and solidly secure.

"In the past, surveillance cameras were built to meet security demands. However, how to minimize false alarms remains a challenge in the industry," said Shengfu Cheng, Director of Marketing and Product Development Division at Vivotek Inc. "Thanks to the development of AI, the FE9191 and FE9391-EV smart fisheye cameras are programmed to learn how to differentiate between the movement of people and objects. With Smart 360 VAC technology, our fisheye cameras extend beyond security applications, and become smart devices to analyze the amount and time people stayed in a specific area. We are committed to helping retailers and users improve the efficiency of business management while securing their assets with accurate identification."
