This can be consulted in the information of the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), an instance that carries out this data crossing based on the preliminary results of the 2010 Population Census carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

While Baja California Sur with 637 thousand inhabitants has 5.56 security elements per thousand people and the Federal District with a population of 8 million 873 thousand 17 inhabitants has 10.25 uniformed for every thousand capital.
The Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System does not specify the percentage of public and private corporations in each state.
However, he points out that at the national level private security companies represent 13 percent of the police forces.
