Mac OS X users sharing C$

Since I've been participating in Apple Security, I've been discovering a fun world. I'm having a blast as a kid with new shoes and in this period of time, I've come to a conclusion: Poor Mac OS X users.

No, I do not mean those who know how to handle the computer, but all those who have bought that if you have Mac OS X you do not have to worry about malware, Trojans, attacks, etc ... Because of this, it is common to find Mac OS X computers without antivirus, antimalware and the worst, with confident users who are safe just by buying a Mac Book Pro.

So, after seeing that 22% of the vulnerabilities were unsolved, according to Secunia, and after seeing that it was already in many infection kits, such as Black Hole or Eleonore, this should be a party.

So nothing, taking advantage of the fact that I am in a hotel and in conferences where there are many users with Mac OS X, we will see the concern that there is for possible attacks on their computers.

Discover Mac OS X on your local network

- Publicidad -

To discover Macs, the easiest thing to do is look at the Mac addresses on your Mac. Yes, it looks like a tongue twister, but it's as easy as most Apple hardware uses network cards made by them, so just look at the MAC address and look at the manufacturer. Not to complicate me, a scan with Cain and voila.
