Latin America. Tyco Security Products introduces the latest version of its C•CURE 9000 security and event management platform, includes OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol) support for reader communications with the access control panel, increased system licensing, and enhanced visitor control so staff can easily create and manage scheduled visitor appointments.
The enhanced Visitor Management functionality of C•CURE 9000 allows authorized personnel to create and manage scheduled visitor appointments from their desktop browser or mobile device using the C•CURE 9000 Visitor Management web portal. Staff who receive visitors can create appointments in advance, define instructions for visits, attach documents about the visitation policy, and assign pre-authorized temporary access permits to streamline the process of entering visitors at the front desk. When a visitor arrives, security personnel can easily find the appointment at C•CURE 9000 administration stations, quickly assign temporary credentials, and manage visitors' entry and exit based on appointment information provided by reception staff through the portal.
C•CURE 9000 v2.50 provides OSDP Protocol support for reader communication with iSTAR Ultra Series access control panels. In addition, a C•CURE 9000 license can now be obtained for up to 5,000 readers per application server, doubling the access control capability previously offered. This increased capacity not only provides greater scalability for single-server systems, but also increases the scalability of the Enterprise model to support up to 40 satellite application servers. This version also allows you to operate under multiple versions so that Enterprise deployments remain functional while progressively updating each server node over time. Customers can now deploy Enterprise system software updates without time constraints and without the need to interrupt system availability for an extended period.
"The C•CURE 9000 Visitor Management portal increases efficiency by reducing the centralized visitor management burden that typically falls on security personnel. In this way, the visited staff can enter the visitor's data before the visit through a self-managed mobile process," explains Luis Delcampo, Product and Marketing Manager of the Access Control line of Tyco Security Products for Latin America "The portal also facilitates the responsibility of the reception staff by providing an official record of the visits and their authorizations."
C•CURE 9000 also includes Conditional Access and Dynamic Area Management capabilities for areas that require a higher level of security with respect to supervised occupancy, such as cash counting rooms at financial institutions, government headquarters where confidential information is kept, and laboratories that handle controlled substances. Conditional Access allows cardholders within a protected area to grant conditional access to a staff member who applies for entry and who typically does not have the necessary permission to enter that area on their own. C•CURE's Dynamic Areas Administration ensures that the first qualified person to enter an unoccupied area is responsible for that area and the last to leave. This serves to provide a higher level of security oversight and control in high-risk areas.
In addition, C•CURE 9000 is compatible with Software House's new Tyco Security Products iSTAR Ultra SE driver, a special edition of the iSTAR Ultra controller that ensures flexibility and compatibility with all Software House systems.
