Latin America. Axis Communications announced the addition of a new model to its Q line of fixed thermal cameras. AXIS Q1941-E is a 'bullet' type camera with an affordable cost on the market and designed for detection in extreme conditions (24/7). Ideal for perimeter protection of installations where rapid intrusion detection is of vital importance.
"Thermal cameras are not only reliable for the continuous detection of intruders, but they are also a useful tool for verification, since they allow to distinguish between a real alarm and a false one," said Francisco Ramírez Country Manager of Axis Communications Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. "With its powerful processor, AXIS Q1941-E enables video analytics applications to be used through the AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP). Our IP cameras are fully compatible with our application development partners (ADP)."
AXIS Q1941-E offers a thermal resolution of 384 x 288, as well as outstanding image contrast for reliable detection and quick verification. With a choice of five different lenses that optimise detection results (7mm, 13mm, 19mm, 35mm and 60mm), customers can rest assured that the camera will meet their needs. In addition, the following features make AXIS Q1941-E the AXIS Q19 Series reference model:
- The camera can be easily integrated with other IP security devices and with applications from other providers.
- Electronic image stabilization (EIS) provides good live viewing, even if the camera is installed on an unstable surface where vibrations may occur.
- Axis Zipstream technology analyzes and optimizes video recording in real time to preserve interesting details and movements with high-quality, high-resolution images, while compressing static areas such as white walls or vegetation. This reduces the bandwidth and storage space required.
AXIS Q1941-E Thermal Network Camera is available in the usual Axis distribution channels.
