. $2 million is the average of what companies recorded for cyberattacks in 2009, according to the study conducted by the security company Symantec: State of Enterprise Security.For most people, home users are the ones who receive the most attacks because they are less protected; but in reality it is the companies that are really targeted by virtual criminals, as 75% of organizations suffered some type of attack last year, according to the report.
The security company also states that for 42% of organizations computer security has become a priority, much more than natural disasters or terrorism. Likewise, 92% of companies said that they will make changes in their computer security this year.
The Symantec study is based on a survey of 2,100 chief information officers and IT officers in 27 countries in January 2010.
