Latin America. The IT security landscape will increase in 2010 due to the need for different Latin American companies to be protected.According to Norberto Milan, vice president of sales for Latin America of Blue Coat Systems (security firm and web accelerator), in the region companies will demand more security solutions for Internet-based information technologies, because the network is one of the main channels of attacks in Latin America.
The sectors that have been most concerned about this situation are banking and government, which already have these solutions and have led investments in IT security.
Milan explains that financial services companies rely on real-time information to perform operations, which means a reliance on IT to bring value to their customers. While in the government what is most interesting is to protect the identity and the delivery of health and education services.
