NQT is a type of malicious code that is installed on the computer without the user noticing and displays unwanted advertisements on the screen as adware, as announced by the security company Eset.This variant of adware, apart from having the common characteristics of this malicious code, also modifies the user's browser settings to obtain an economic benefit in exchange for being removed from the computer.
According to Eset's statement, Win32/BHO. NQT adopts its own methodology of threats of the ransomware type by asking for a reward in exchange for the restitution or repair of a state that it modified in the first instance. Cristian Borghello, director of technical education of the company, said that for this type of adware the cybercriminal receives money for the issuance of advertising and for its removal.
On the computer infected with adware an advertisement is automatically inserted into the browser and each time it logs in it will appear on it. To protect themselves, users should avoid installing taskbars of dubious origin.
