Peru. The work is part of the Ica Segura project, which includes the installation of some 400 video surveillance cameras, positioning itself as the largest initiative of its kind nationwide.
Peruvian authorities have reported investments of more than US$22 million in the project, which is being equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a mobile application through which citizens will be able to interact with security operators.
Additionally, it has been known that Ica Segura will be complemented with the acquisition of motorcycles, patrol cars and crime laboratories.
First Batch of Security Cameras
As part of its comprehensive strategy to fight crime, the Regional Government received last April the first batch of video surveillance equipment that will allow monitoring incidents in the area and involving citizens with what will be a sophisticated system.
This equipment consisted of 233 PTZ dome cameras, 35 fixed dome cameras, 8 fixed bullet cameras (their small and compact design offers permanent multipurpose surveillance), a video wall system (set of monitors and accessories), 70 emergency terminals (panic buttons that will be installed on poles), as well as 65 and 90-inch interactive screens.

To expand the coverage of the monitoring network in the province of Ica, the PTZ cameras will be placed, according to the indications of the Police, in avenues, streets, urbanizations, population centers, which will seek to guarantee an efficient and reliable deployment of security devices.
