International. HID announced that Gartner has named it a leader in its 2024 Magic Quadrant for the Indoor Location Services Industry.
The evaluation was based on specific criteria that analyzed the comprehensiveness of the vision, as well as the company's ability to execute.
HID's recent acquisitions of GuardRFID and Connexient have strengthened its portfolio of location services, enabling it to offer a more robust and comprehensive solution.
"We are very pleased that Gartner has placed us in the Leaders quadrant of this year's Magic Quadrant for Indoor Location Services," said Marc Bielmann, senior vice president and managing director, Identity Technologies, HID. "We believe this recognition reaffirms the validity of our strategic approach, focused on continuously improving the service we provide to customers through advanced technology and the successful implementation of our offering. We are excited to continue to improve both the functionality and impact of our solution."
The Gartner Magic Quadrant is the culmination of research in a specific market, providing a broad perspective on the relative positioning of competitors in that market. It provides a graphical representation of the competitive position of four types of technology providers in sectors where growth is high and there is a clear differentiation between them: leaders, aspirants (also known as challengers), visionaries, and niche specialists.

The HID Location Services solution offers modular options that empower organizations' capabilities, ensuring the fastest time to results and unmatched flexibility. Key use cases for this technology include security and duress detection, asset tracking, infant safety in hospitals, workflow optimization, management of people at risk of disorientation, and guidance systems.
"The mission of our Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) is to provide valuable information that improves the safety and experience of employees, visitors and patients within the facility," said Kerry Brock, RTLS' chief strategy officer for healthcare and president of GuardRFID. "The strides we've made energize us, especially receiving this kind of recognition from leading industry experts. We look forward to further strengthening our market leadership in the indoor location services segment."
