Increase in visits to Expo Seguridad Mexico meets expectations and reaches 15%

Organizadores de Expo Seguridad México 2024 hacen un balance final satisfactorio

Mexico. More than 24,000 square meters of the Citibanamex Center hosted the most recent editions of Expo Seguridad México (ESM) and Expo Seguridad Industrial (ESI) for three days, which attracted some 17,500 professionals to the fairgrounds.

According to RX Mexico, Expo Seguridad Mexico fulfilled its objective of showcasing state-of-the-art technologies and innovations presented by more than 360 exhibiting companies, while contributing to the professional updating of security specialists from the public and private sectors.

"We exceeded visitor expectations, achieving a growth of more than 15% at Expo Seguridad Mexico and 20% at Expo Seguridad Industrial, both compared to the previous year. The exhibition area increased by 15% and we saw a greater international participation this time around. In addition, thanks to our digital product offering, we generate 110,000 leads for our exhibitors. This edition stood out for its innovative approach, reaching a business potential of US $338.7 million, which reaffirms our commitment to excellence and advancement in the security industry," explained Laura Barrera, director of both events.

The director highlighted the participation of the visitors who attended the academic program, designed almost entirely by SIA, who were willing to update themselves professionally with more than 50 specialized speakers. He also highlighted the acceptance of the demonstration areas and the space for drone flight, as part of the security solutions that were exhibited.

"We are pleased to note that the SIA Education Program was a success and we will strengthen it further in the next edition. Likewise, we saw that the new areas and different pavilions were extremely busy, which speaks of an active community with a desire to do business and network. Let's remember that collaboration and passion for excellence lead us to create a bright future," said Laura Barrera.

Meanwhile, Luiz Bellini, CEO of RX Mexico, said that both events are crucial to understand the changing business landscape and the innovations that are presented. He also pointed out that the commitment of all participants is to evolve "together with the needs of our customers, towards the digital transformation of operations, and ensure that face-to-face interactions continue to be at the heart of what we do; We leverage our experience as a global leader in exhibitions and business events to create connections and ecosystems that foster business growth."

For his part, Don Erickson, chief executive officer of Security Industry Association (SIA), said that they have solid confidence in the Mexican security industry, as almost three out of four respondents in the March-April 2024 Security Market Index (SMI) research report rated the current business conditions as positive, and nearly a third described them as "excellent."

"This sector is evolving, and multiple disruptive factors are driving systemic changes," Erickson said.

"For the next edition, we anticipate a growth of more than 10% both in the number of participating companies and in the square meters of the exhibition space. Training will play a pivotal role in our events, as we will continue to drive high-level educational programs alongside the second edition of the SIA Education Program. Thanks to the successful results of this edition, we have confirmed the main associations in the sector, and we are in the process of establishing new alliances that will enrich business verticals such as 'Safety & Fire', industrial segments and law enforcement," concluded Laura Barrera.

Pavilion and Mascot with a Cause
This year in addition, the first Pavilion and Mascot with a Cause was held, which was received with enthusiasm by visitors, as all the pieces of the mascot were sold, reflecting the success of the initiative.

The proceeds went entirely to the National Network of Shelters, which publicized its work during the event.

In addition, alliances were established with companies in the security sector, with the aim of collaborating in the protection of women and children in vulnerable situations.

"By joining with the National Shelter Network, we are strengthening our commitment to the safety and security of those who need it most. Together, we work to build a safer and fairer future for all," concluded Laura Barrera.
