Barbados. The company would carry out the purchase of JE Security Systems & Services through its subsidiary G4S Secure Solutions (Barbados) Limited. The transaction is expected to close during the first quarter of this year.
Based in St. Thomas, JE Security Systems & Services has been providing electronic security, patrol and response services for more than 30 years. Its client portfolio includes insurance companies, banks, embassies, construction companies, government facilities and residential communities.
"This proposed acquisition marks an important milestone in advancing Allied Universal's global growth strategy", said Allied Universal President and Global CEO Steve Jones (main photo). “As we continue to expand our international presence, the acquisition of JE Security Systems & Services allows us to expand the value of the security services we offer to our clients in Barbados and the English Caribbean”, he added.
Meanwhile, Jeff Evelyn, CEO of JE Security Systems & Services, stated that “through this action, we will be able to provide expanded service offerings to users and career opportunities to our employees. We look forward to continuing the relationship with our clients; those who have been with us from the beginning and those who have joined us along the way”.
G4S English Caribbean Managing Director James Devers also reacted to the announcement, stating that “having operated in Barbados for
over 35 years, G4S Barbados remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of service, integrity and innovation throughout this proposed integration process".
Between 2022 and 2023, Allied Universal completed 18 acquisitions: 13 in North America and six internationally. Previously, during 2021, Allied Universal acquired 10 companies, including G4S. The company has stated that these acquisitions are consistent with its growth and expansion strategy.
