RecFaces Id-Guard integrates with Milestone VMS

ID Guard

International. Facial recognition software developer RecFaces announced that its Id-Guard solution was verified by Milestone Marketplace and successfully integrated into its XProtect video management software.

Id-Guard is a high-precision facial recognition box, developed for video surveillance and security systems. The device can handle more than a thousand real-time video streams simultaneously and is powered by one of the five best algorithms available, according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

"Id-Guard's seamless integration with XProtect enables RecFaces to reach a global audience that demands reliable facial recognition software to streamline business processes and improve daily operations," said Tamara Morozova, CEO of RecFaces.

Thanks to the integration of its plugins with the XProtect Smart Client interface, this solution provides new functions and biometric capabilities based on familiar interfaces. In addition, it provides instant information on people detected and identified in the video management system, allowing identification cameras to be placed on maps to simplify an operational response to an incident and reconstruct the traceability of a person of interest.

How the integrated solution works
If a person is caught on video and belongs to a specific watch list detected by Id-Guard, a notification is sent instantly. The parsed event sent to XProtect will also contain the information about the source of the event.

The solution automatically updates profiles to maintain high identification accuracy. In case of long periods of operation, the solution tracks a person's age and other changes in their appearance. To do this, it automatically updates users' profile photos and removes one of the obsolete photos to replace it with a current photo obtained by the system.

Id-Guard automatically links identified individuals, events, and timestamps. In this way, it allows you to view not only photos of events, but also video fragments of the XProtect recording file based on the face or profile name of a person at any given time. This reduces the workload of operators and minimizes the time needed to analyze incidents.
