Hanwha Vision, New CVE Program Numbering Authority

Lista CVE

International. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) program has just designated the company as a Numbering Authority (CNA) in charge of identifying cybersecurity threats and cataloging them in the so-called CVE List.

The choice of Hanwha Vision is part of a global effort by diverse technology companies, which work together to benefit their partners, as well as the broader IT and cybersecurity communities.

In turn, IT and cybersecurity professionals use CVE records to coordinate efforts to prioritize and address these vulnerabilities. The CVE list feeds the U.S. National Vulnerability Database (NVD).

"The CNA authorization shows how seriously Hanwha Vision takes cybersecurity," said Uri Guterman, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Hanwha Vision. "Being authorized as a CVE numbering authority represents the next logical step in Hanwha Vision's ongoing commitment to cybersecurity and offers an additional level of peace of mind to users."

The role of the S-CERT department
This Hanwha Vision agency is expected to make a significant contribution to the program, thanks to its expertise in addressing potential security vulnerabilities in products manufactured by the brand.

In that sense, the S-CERT department has standardized a Security Vulnerability Response Process and has documented a Notification Policy.

In this way, Hanwha Vision will now support the growing community of technology providers in their work to minimize online threats. The security measures recommended by the company can be consulted online, as can the full CVE List.
