International. Ajax Systems unveiled a new series of technologies with which it ventures into the fire solutions sector and added new comfort devices to its security systems, after the realization of its fourth Special Event called "Comfort Zone".
This year's live presentation has been broadcast in 19 languages and viewed by Ajax users and partners from more than 130 countries around the world. The in-person and main event was held in Paris, France, and more than 3,000 security professionals attended local events in Ukraine, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Turkey, Canada and other countries.
LifeQuality: Protecting Your Productivity
The LifeQuality is a professional indoor air quality monitor that measures CO2 levels, temperature and humidity. It is packed with Swiss and Swedish sensors that are used in medical equipment, and provides the most reliable information. There's also something new for Ajax interfaces: in-app graphics. Users will be able to see current indicators, history for several days, a week, a month or a year, and understand the dynamics of air quality. An LED indicator instantly informs about the level of carbon dioxide (CO2), simply by touching the Ajax logo. It lights up in yellow, red or purple, if the concentration of carbon dioxide exceeds the limit.
LightSwitch: comfort and safety with a single touch
With the LightSwitch, system users can control a wide range of lighting devices, both on-site and remotely, via Ajax apps. It comes with a large, touchpad that responds to a touchless touch or activation: just bring a hand closer to a distance of at least 15mm from the device, and the lights turn on. With the soft LED backlight, it is easy to do even in the dark.
Flood prevention with WaterStop: not a drop of trouble
Ajax Systems introduces the WaterStop, a remote-controlled water shut-off valve. It helps build a fully automated flood system, with reliability of professional safety technology. The device consists of a Bonomi quality valve and a powerful electric actuator that closes the water automatically, according to a command from the Ajax app or by pressing a button on the spot.
Operating as part of the Ajax security system, the WaterStop has inherited all the unique technologies of proven effectiveness. The actuator works up to 3 years on batteries and is capable of closing the water in a matter of a few seconds. To do this, a command is sent via the Jeweller radio protocol that provides a communication range of up to 1,100 meters and uses encryption, frequency hopping and jamming detection.
FireProtect 2: accuracy through steam, dust and time
The FireProtect 2 is an entire line of detectors that provide a whole new level of technology in home fire safety. We have developed a unique smoke chamber, with maximum protection against dust and impenetrable for insects. This means they won't need to clean it regularly. Below deck, the detector has a dual-spectrum optical sensor that can distinguish smoke from water vapor.
The second sensor of the detector is a thermistor. It quickly distinguishes the temperature peak, which gives a significant advantage in case of combustion of synthetic materials. An extended version of the detector with an additional carbon monoxide sensor has also been presented. Both detectors have versions with replaceable and built-in batteries. With the replaceable battery, the device will work up to 7 years, while with the integrated one, no less than 10 years.
Improved app design
To adapt the design of the Ajax security system apps with the new devices, the product design team has introduced a new control tab for the automation devices and announced future changes.
New software features
Ajax has introduced three functionalities that partners and users have been waiting for a long time: keyboard passcodes for unregistered users, alarm photos of any device, and temperature scenarios.
Improvements for greater comfort
