Latin America. Milestone Systems announced the new update of its VMS: XProtect 2022 R3, which incorporates several improvements in the user experience and system performance and also offers the flexibility and security necessary to meet any video management requirement.
The 2022 R3 is a highly recommended software update for all XProtect users, as it extends the intuitive capabilities of Incident Manager across the XProtect product family.
XProtect Incident Manager Expansion
Incident Manager, which was part of the release of Milestone Xprotect 2022 R2, is now available as a license-subject extension for XProtect Express+, XProtect Professional+ and XProtect Expert. This solution allows users to manage incidents directly in their VMS and connect video streams to incidents as they occur. When the incident comes to an end, users can stop the capture and start entering the details of the incident.
Incident types are fully configurable, allowing users to define types and details for reporting. Configuration options include, but are not limited to, free text, drop-down lists, and date and time fields. Pre-recorded footage can also be added to an incident to make the evidence more robust.
Vehicle license plate recognition improvements
The newly updated license plate recognition feature allows users to recognize, classify and group license plate types through more efficient analysis and recognition of different types of motor vehicles. Depending on the license plate style of each country, users will be able to differentiate between trucks, private cars, limousines, trucks, buses, or even police patrols or other vehicles. Also, some countries have different plates for electric or gas cars, which can now also be easily identified by vehicle license plate recognition (LPR).
