Main LATAM channels met at the Axis Partner Summit

Latin America. Axis Communications held the Axis Partner Summit, an event that sought to bring together the channels of the region in a virtual way to talk about growth strategies towards 2021, and which was held on November 17 and 18 for Spanish-speaking countries and november 19 for Brazil.

Fredrik Nilsson, Vice President of the Americas, said 2021 will be a year of accelerated growth for the company in comprehensive solutions, IP audio and body cameras. He pointed out that there are more than 60 professionals in charge of the region to help the channels in the development of their projects and that they have the availability of axis Experience Centers in Sao Paulo, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Mexico to carry out demonstrations with their clients. For his part, Leopoldo Ruiz, Regional Director in Latin America, began his participation by stating that Axis will redouble its efforts towards 2021 to expand the business and presence in the region.

The company spokesperson also mentioned that Latin America is the second region worldwide in the sale of IP audio solutions, as it is indisputably a product that is prepared for the needs of the Latin American market. He also emphasized the support they want to provide to integrators with the increase in the warranty of their products from 3 to 5 years, a benefit that came into effect on the first of October.

Leopoldo Ruiz stressed that the situation that welcomed 2020 should be seen as a challenging opportunity to continue growing, because the forecast in costs of the industry for 2024 is 5.5 billion dollars, where Mexico and Brazil will top the growth list. "The outlook looks positive, only in IP cameras the market is expected to grow by 8% by 2024, 4.4% for thermal solutions, 34.7% for video analysis and 11% in software, while the market for analog cameras has decreased by 19.1%," he said.

Growth strategies for 2021
On the other hand, Mariano Vega, Regional Sales Manager for the Southern Cone and Diana Ardila, Regional Sales Manager for the Northern Cone, mentioned that successful growth strategies for 2021 will focus on the field of retail, citizen surveillance and industry, mainly in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. In the Northern Cone, the vision for the following year points to the banking sector.

Another important aspect of growth strategies is comprehensive solutions, it is an approach that offers a variety of products, tools and technologies to meet needs, mainly commercial. It means that customers will benefit from a complete security system tailored to specific demands, in fact, the central part of the solution is the video management software (VMS): AXIS Camera Station.

Alejandro Aguirre, Regional Sales Manager in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, assures that the business opportunities for these countries will also be in the banking, data center, manufacturing and critical infrastructure sectors. On the other hand, the demand generation structure and the digital scheme will be a focus of reference to increase new opportunities.

New solutions
Mauricio Swain, Business Development Manager spoke about the focuses on which Axis innovation will focus for 2021. He pointed out that there will be a greater range of range, vision, detection and cybersecurity in solutions such as radar, multi-sensor cameras, thermal and dome. In addition, Edge-to-edge technology was presented, which facilitates the connection between devices.

In 2021, greater emphasis will be placed on the incursion of the new AXIS Object Analytics, an analytics based on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, and it is expected that 30% of the products can count on this technology. Also planned is the launch of the Axis Body Worn, a rugged, lightweight and easy-to-use body camera that allows you to store and manage videos for law enforcement. ACAP 4.0 will also be launched, which will seek to meet the specific needs of each user in the cloud

Strategic Marketing
Mariana Ramírez, Marketing Manager, said that the current situation has left important communication trends for 2021, such as Marketing Automation, conscious Marketing that will seek to generate a positive social impact and align with the environmental values of Axis, to such an extent that 80% of the products are already FREE of PVC and by 2021 it will be sought that 20% are free of CO2. Content Marketing and Omnichannel Marketing. These four strategies will seek the unification of messages in all digital and traditional communication channels throughout Latin America.

The economic perspective
Roy Campos, Political Economist and President of Consulta-Mitofsky was a special guest of the event, who pointed out that, despite the economic damage caused by the pandemic, there will be an economic recovery around the world, and assured that science and technology will be the pillars that help society to get ahead of the challenges presented by 2020. Therefore, it will be necessary to have a changing and adaptable business approach, where remote work and the use of emerging technologies will be a guiding axis of the preservation of companies.

The Regional Director of the company sent a strong message to assure the channels that he has the support of Axis to develop and expand their business opportunities and invited them to continue training.
