Nominations available for top women in Cybersecurity – Latin America 2022

Top Women in Cybersecurity

Latin America. The initiatives Latam Women in Cybersecurity (Womcy), and Women in Security & Resilience Alliance (Wisecra), confirmed the launch of the third edition of the "Top Women in Cybersecurity – Latin America 2022".

Following the success of the previous two editions, when 50 outstanding women in cybersecurity were recognized throughout the Latin American region who have made significant contributions, this third edition promises to continue showing professionals who have advanced in the industry and have led the way for future generations of professionals, among other vital contributions. Nominations were officially opened on International Women's Day, March 8, 2022.

Throughout 2021, Womcy partnered with several public and private organizations to help promote cybersecurity education and certification programs. These partnerships have proven to make a difference in talent development and granted Womcy members access to certification programs with Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft, Check Point, and several customized programs delivered exclusively to this community.

As a result, more than 12,000 people attended Womcy's cybersecurity and talent development programs last year. As Leticia Gammill, President and Founder of Womcy, put it: "We have the vision of being a community that promotes the professional development and participation of all Latina women in cybersecurity issues, and together with an ecosystem of public and private organizations, work to minimize the knowledge gap and generate an impact on society."
