International. G4S announced an agreement with pharmaceutical company Pfizer to supply an integrated security solution at Pfizer's new Global Digital Innovation Center in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Following the continued delivery of successful security services at one of Pfizer's largest global packaging and production sites in Puurs in Belgium, and at a Research and Development site in Kent in the UK, the new site at Thessaloniki is a new high-profile addition to G4S's growing role in keeping people and property safe at Pfizer sites in Europe.
The Global Center for Digital Innovation is a key component of Pfizer's global digital operating model. The center's approach, which already employs more than 300 high-level scientists, includes digitizing drug discovery and development, improving health outcomes and the patient experience, digital tools to work faster and easier, as well as artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.
The site was inaugurated on October 12, 2021 by the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who called it a "very special moment for the city."
