Colombia. Alai Secure offers Macrochip the latest technology to strengthen and enrich its current communications system with the exchange of voice, video, geolocation data and images, in real time and safely, between the different humanitarian assistance teams of the Colombian Red Cross.
Macrochip is a Colombian company specialized in the commercialization of Telecommunications solutions -POC communication systems, radiotelephones, etc.-. One of its most important business areas is that of radio communications between closed groups, through instant push to talk PPT.
In March 2021, Macrochip reached an agreement with the Colombian Red Cross, a private humanitarian entity, for the management of all its mission-critical communications between the assistance teams and the teams of the displaced ambulances, through its POC service -PTT Over Cellular-.
Macrochip relies on Alai Secure technology for this project with a double objective, firstly, to reinforce and enrich communications, allowing the exchange of voice, video, geolocation data and images, and secondly, to guarantee the mission-critical communications of the Red Cross by optimizing resources. Macrochip incorporates, in this way, the High Performance SIM of Alai Secure special for machine-to-machine communications, in each of the Android PTT devices.
This allows the Red Cross to transmit data, in real time and in a secure way, and to be able to guarantee, in addition, all its communications between the different teams. The High Performance SIM is five times more durable and resistant to extreme use conditions than a conventional SIM.
This PTT solution allows to optimize the communications -of critical- between the teams involved so that the personnel can know, first hand, all the details about the severity of the wounded / patients and act quickly. In addition, its ability to make video calls is a fundamental added value to be able to attend telemedicine procedures.
Alai Secure, with the aim of facilitating the daily operation of the service, makes available to Macrochip, its new SIM360 Space, a digital environment to operate and supervise its fleet of deployed and operational SIM cards.
