Argentina. At the Banda del Río Salí Monitoring Center, more "BRS Alert" applications were delivered to women to prevent acts of gender violence. The APP allows women to be cared for by putting in their hands an efficient system for reporting emergencies. This delivery was made by the national deputy Gladys Medina, together with Laura Termini, Coordinator of the Office of Domestic Violence (OVD).
When the victims press the panic button, the municipal lookouts and the police can assist them thanks to the timely handling of the information received in the monitoring center.
The Office of Domestic Violence of the city of Banda del Río Salí has been working for months on the implementation of judicial protection measures, with interaction between the family court and the prosecutor's offices in charge. "Having an alert system such as the "BRS Alert" application that is controlled and depends on an equipped Monitoring Center, allows direct attention to the victims and reduce situations of violence on the spot," said Termini and added that "in addition, there is a record which is very important for court cases and for complaints."
With the support of SoftGuard's Safe Municipality program, the Municipality of Banda del Río Salí will continue to work to innovate and incorporate methods and tools that counteract the manifestations of acts of violence and insecurity in society and especially women.
