HID Global acquired a global supplier of portable radio frequency identification (RFID) readers that designs, develops and manufactures robust mobile RFID readers, as well as other mobile device peripherals of various technologies that are used to identify and track products and assets: Technology Solutions (TSL) UK Ltd.

The basic activity of TLS is the design of reading units that are independent of display units. This allows customers who purchase the company's products to select the mobile device of their choice for viewing and data processing, and in addition, easily migrate, over time, to new phones and tablets as display devices. In addition, the range of portable readers is independent of the operating system, that is, they work with iOS, Android and Windows phones and tablets, as well as with other devices with Bluetooth technology.
