Latin America. Within the framework of the virtual event ALAS MEET 360, the winners of the ALAS Awards 2020 were announced, a space that recognizes the best security projects in Latin America for their impact on the community and the innovation and development that allow us to create advances in our industry.
31 projects from different countries, among which we find Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Chile, Peru and Guatemala were evaluated by the organizing committee made up of industry specialists who chose the winning projects, finding a tie for third place in the public category.
Public projects
- First: "Puerto Rico protects the educational community" by Milestone. (Puerto Rico)
- Second: "Sistema Integral de Seguridad Vicente López (SISVILO)" by Exanet. (Argentina)
- Third: "The world's first national mobile identification program" by HID Global. (Argentina)
- Third: "Departmental Video Surveillance System of Maldonado" by the Departmental Intendancy of Maldonado. (Uruguay)
Private projects:
- First: "Technology, safety and experience in the automotive plant of San Luis Potosí" by Tenco. (Mexico)
- Second: "Mixed-use buildingLobby 33" by Rowan Networks. (Mexico)
- Third: "Virtual Operational Training" by Securitas. (Colombia)
The winners will receive different prizes including a year of membership in WINGS, scholarships in ALAS courses, among others.
MEET 360 WINGS
25 leading brands in security technologies and more than 10 institutional allies and specialized media also gathered at the event that took place on November 24 and 25 on a platform that has a closeness to reality that allows interactions between the more than 300 avatars that were at the event.
This virtual meeting had a focus on developing an academic and research document, through working groups made up of suppliers, integrators and end users from different sectors or vertical markets.
The Association considers that this event will be the first of many with this type of focus on the end user, and that a precedent of working together with the different specialized fairs in Latin America has been left.
The ALAS MEET 360 convened Exposeguridad Mexico, The International Security Fair of Bogotá E+S+S, ISC Brasil and Intersec Buenos Aires.
In addition to the event, on January 27 and 28 a Post Business Roundtable will be held, in which the exhibitors present at the virtual fair will be available for new business appointments.
