International. Johnson Controls launched the Tyco HD Encoder encoder, designed to operate standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) analog cameras in a developing IP infrastructure. This product supports ExacqVision and VideoEdge from American Dynamics.
Available with one or four channels, Tyco HD Encoder allows users in a network environment to maintain their SD and HD cameras and add IP cameras over time, so they can reap the benefits of IP technology without sacrificing their existing analog infrastructure. The encoder hardware adapts analog video so that it can be sent over IP networks, helping to migrate CCTV systems to a modern IP video surveillance organization.
This HD encoder can be deployed immediately and supports a power connection over Ethernet, allowing power and data to be transmitted over the same CAT5/6 cable. It also includes important features such as HDMI output, H.264 compression for cameras up to 2 MP, multi-stream transmission, and support for TVI, CVI, and AHD analog protocols.
Tyco has a wide range of network video recorders and video management systems from American Dynamics and Exacq, combining a solid foundation for implementing a fully integrated video system. Purchasing all components of a solution from the same vendor reduces potential problems with product durability and streamlines configuration and support tasks.
