International. Arcules and Milestone officially announce the launch of the Arcules-XProtect Hybrid VMS solution, which will initially be available for the North American and European markets.
This solution combines Arcules video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) with Milestone's XProtect Corporate video management software (VMS), which is installed on the client's servers. The result is a flexible and feature-rich hybrid video surveillance solution. ideal for organizations looking to centralize their dispersed video surveillance operations.
The Arcules-XProtect Hybrid VMS solution enables Milestone XProtect customers to deploy to remote locations, quickly and with minimal computing resources and downtime, while taking advantage of the powerful capabilities of the XProtect VMS, installed on their own servers. In addition, the intuitive Arcules platform provides cameras and sites connected to the Arcules VSaaS with a cloud-based infrastructure with advantages such as cross-site compatibility, low video latency, data encryption, redundancy, optimized maintenance with automatic updates, and easy onboarding into the system.
"Milestone's distributors and end users are preparing their implementation to take advantage of the many advantages of cloud computing. This integration gives Milestone's XProtect Corporate customers a new hybrid cloud computing deployment option," said Bjørn Skou Eilertsen, Chief Technology Officer, Milestone Systems. "Typically, XProtect Corporate Milestone users have numerous branches of different sizes and in different locations. Leveraging this hybrid option can allow them to simplify their large-scale deployments. Once the Arcules system is interconnected, the user can use the connected cameras with the advanced features of XProtect Corporate."
The Arcules-XProtect Hybrid VMS solution uses Milestone's Interconnect technology that combines the hyperscalability and licensing flexibility of the Arcules cloud service with the functionality offered by XProtect Corporate video management. The fusion of these technologies allows you to enjoy unified access to live video, recordings and alarms through physically connected cameras at customer premises and virtually in the Arcules cloud, through XProtect Smart Client, XProtect Smart Wall and web and mobile clients.
Organizations that have distributed locations such as hospital care facilities, retail establishments, corporate centers, educational campuses, and utility facilities leverage high-performance cloud services to gain real-time insights in the event of an incident occurring in remote areas.
The Arcules-XProtect hybrid VMS solution also adds value to monitoring stations and law enforcement agencies that use XProtect Corporate as their VMS platform. Thanks to this solution, these organizations can access directly from their Xprotect system, installed in their infrastructure, cameras and customers subscribed to the Arcules cloud service.
Milestone reported that the availability of the Arcules-XProtect Hybrid VMS solution in regions outside of North America and Europe is contingent on market demand and is contingent on data center availability and/or the ability to use data centers in other regions.
