United States. Winsted Corporation announced a new ownership under the pathfinder companies, LLC brand. The acquisition of Winsted became effective at the close of business on October 31.
"Our philosophy aligned so well with Pathfinder's that it confirmed that this was the right decision for Winsted to move forward as a company," said Steve Hoska, former winsted owner. "We rely on the Pathfinder team to support the company's best long-term interest."
Under the acquisition, some other novelties were presented:
· Jack Cardwell is introduced as the new CEO of Winsted. Prior to joining Winsted, Cardwell worked at 3M for 27 years, most recently in the role of vice president of marketing operations and sales.
· Randy Smith will continue as president. Smith and Cardwell will be part of the new ownership group and will work closely together to lead Winsted's executive team.
· Winsted's operations will remain unchanged as they continue to provide the highest level of quality consoles and customer service.
"We would like to express our appreciation to Steve Hoska and his family," said Jack Helms, partner at Pathfinder Companies. "The commitment and efforts of the Winsted team enabled the company to become a market leader and now represent what we believe is an exciting opportunity for us."
"Thanks to the tremendous leadership of the Hoska family and the team of committed employees, Winsted is a proud leader in the control room industry. We are very excited about what this new chapter will bring and commitment to continue building and supporting the legacy of the Hoska family," shared Randy Smith, President of Winsted.
