Two technology trends to make business safer

International. According to the newspaper Excelsior, ant theft is currently one of the problems that most attack companies, since about 160 billion pesos are lost annually.

One of the crimes that are most committed within businesses is the so-called "ant theft", causing small businesses to suffer severe economic losses, therefore, different businesses focus part of their investment on the security of the property, where smart solutions can provide a plus when protecting the business.

Technological evolution has allowed business-focused trends to overcome security and efficiency challenges, causing more and more companies to integrate intelligent solutions that help them face new challenges. An example of these are video surveillance cameras that, merged with lighting technology, offer the possibility of minimizing risks and losses, in addition to managing the spaces of the property more efficiently.

Today, the trend is inclined to IP video surveillance systems, which can integrate detectors and audio receivers, which allow to substantially improve the security of a business. With a high-tech network video system, any movement within facilities can be detected and recorded 24 hours a day, regardless of whether there is little light, which will allow recording images that facilitate the identification of people in case of a crime, in addition to allowing you to monitor your business in real time, reducing potential risks.

"It is essential that small businesses take measures to ensure the highest level of security in their facilities, therefore, it is advisable to implement video surveillance with IP audio. Use speakers connected to the network, which through a single Ethernet cable allow to control all the mechanisms individually, in addition to the fact that through a POE switch it is possible to energize the devices, saving on infrastructure and facilitating their administration and support, "said José Armas, Commercial Director of ERA Telecomunicaciones.

Another trend recommended by the experts of ERA Telecomunicaciones, is the implementation of platforms with lighting control such as Smartengine, which are designed to power lights and sensors through an IT infrastructure network. Jose Armas. Commercial Director of ERA Telecomunicaciones, ensures that "this type of technology provides advanced information on the use of spaces in real time, allowing small businesses to detect the movement, brightness, temperature and energy consumption of the facilities, obtaining detailed information on how the spaces are used and at the same time maximize the operation of the place generating energy savings".

The constant technological transformation is marking an important challenge for companies, therefore, they must look for state-of-the-art alternatives to guarantee the security of their properties, in addition to maximizing the efficiency of their spaces.

"The world is evolving more and more every day and security is an important pillar in shops, so in many of them a necessary migration of analog systems to cutting-edge video surveillance and lighting solutions is expected. As integrators we help our clients to implement solutions for their businesses, in order to guarantee the integrity of facilities, employees, merchandise; reducing losses and risks," concluded José Armas, Commercial Director of ERA Telecomunicaciones.
