International. Interlogix announced in a statement that it will close its U.S. and Canadian businesses after a "comprehensive portfolio review" of its security business.
This decision will allow the company to focus on focusing on its other fire and safety businesses, specifically growth opportunities for LenelS2.
The company explained that its products will be manufactured and orders will be completed through 2019, and will be available for purchase from its distributors and dealers during a coordinated transition period, and that they will continue to offer assistance and support in 2020 and beyond.
Interlogix sent a statement to its distributors in recent days with which it announced the news of the closure of operations in both countries.
"While we may be finishing Interlogix, we are committed to ensuring you have the products needed to help your distributors during this transition," the email read. "In the coming days, our sales team will contact you to review your inventory position and facilitate last-time purchases. Together, we will work closely to ensure you have the necessary products on your shelves to meet the needs of your distributors. Given our significant installed base, we anticipate increased demand at this time and will create and fulfill orders in the order in which they are received."
This announcement comes on the heels of Interlogix relaunching its Security Pro reseller program in April this year, offering multiple award levels to resellers with benefits that increase with each tier. Benefits could include cooperative marketing funds, new product samples, extended product warranties, and preferential technical support.
