Hikvision opens office in Chile, a market with European level

Chile. In Santiago de Chile, the capital of the southern country, Hikvision opened, on the first of November, its new office for the attention of a growing market in Latin America. Since 2007, when it created its local office in the United States, Hikvision has been investing in the creation of international units; in Europe it has seven offices and in Latin America it has one in Brazil, the new office in Chile and prepares openings in Mexico and Colombia.

"The main motivation is, of course, to better serve the needs of the Chilean market, but also, due to its geographical location, to be the central office for the entire southern cone, with the exception of Brazil," says José García, Marketing Manager of Hikvision for Latin America.

In addition, in Chile, as in other countries in the region, Hikvision promotes the VASP (Value Added Solution Partner) program, focused on providing the fundamental tools to achieve the success of its partners. With this program, product training, support in project design and after sales, technical certifications such as the HCSA (Hikvision Certified Solution Associate), exclusive registration of projects, marketing support, price discounts, discounts on demo equipment and VASP certificate are delivered.

"The main objective (with the opening of the office) is that the integrating client feels fully supported, both from the distribution channel and from the brand. From our experience we know that it is the way to close large deals and, in particular, that the final customer is satisfied, "says García.

Currently, Hikvision offers a range of video surveillance solutions from the entry level to high-level solutions, both in analog and IP solutions and, in addition, has participation in various vertical markets such as banking, retail and even in some mining projects. In addition, it has specific solutions for Business Intelligence (people counting, heat mapping, POS) and GIS for the mobile industry.

For José García, "Chile is an open market, with a lot of supply in place and knowledge from its end users. On the other hand, thanks to the maturity of the market and its similarities with the European one, it is one of the countries that most bets on high-level IP solutions. It is also one of the pioneer markets in Latin America in terms of respect for industry standards and where installers show great preparation and knowledge."

"We are very pleased about the opening of the office in Chile and believe that this will benefit not only Hikvision as a brand but also the Chilean market. We believe that great things are coming for the country and we hope that the market is prepared for all the technological innovations that we will present," added Carla Montes, head of marketing at Hikvision for the Southern Cone.

Thinking about long-term relationships, Hikvision already has available in Chile, a complete team that includes technical staff and personnel trained in pre-sales, channel training and business development roles, to offer total support to the market and especially to the integrating client.

"We are committed to a mixed team, where half of the team's professionals are of Chinese origin and the other half Chilean, combining the best of two worlds: great work discipline and understanding of our own technology, along with a deep knowledge of local needs," says Carla Montes.

The office is located at Cerro el Plomo 5855, 706, Las Condes, Santiago de Chile.
